Maribeth ‘Beth’ Klein

Mrs. Beth Klein of Belgium, formerly of Port Washington and Milwaukee, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 21, 2021, at Lawlis Family Hospice Center in Mequon. She was 68 years old.

Maribeth was born in Milwaukee on April 24, 1953, the daughter of Edward and Florence Pagac Gugliatto.

She attended local schools before working in the healthcare field.

On Sept. 3, 1983, Maribeth was united in marriage with Jeffrey Klein at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Milwaukee.  

The couple moved to Port Washington the following year and raised their family of two children. In 2014 they moved to their present home in Belgium.

Mrs. Klein loved to start her days with calls to her sisters, catching up on life and enjoying a cup of coffee. She liked going out to lunch, visits with friends and doing arts and crafts ­— especially drawing. She took great pride in her family and her children, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandson Kobe. In her younger days, Beth enjoyed fishing.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Jeff of Belgium, son Caleb Ferguson of Madison, daughter Haley Ferguson of Belgium and grandson Kobe.  

She is further survived by sisters Christine (John) Lohmiller, Melodee (Brian) Gugliatto, Gina (Jim) Broenen and Angela (Mike) Ferguson, brother Perry Gugliatto, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dominic Gugliatto and favorite feline companions Buddy and Missy.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Church, 13460 N. Port Washington Rd., Mequon, on July 3. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. until services begin at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are suggested to help with funeral expenses.
