Margaret C. Schneider

 

Margaret C. Schneider (nee Wetor), age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends at Gables on the Pond in Random Lake, Wis., on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

Margaret was born on Nov. 28, 1929, to Peter and Clara (Schommer) Wetor.

Margaret is survived by nieces Pam (Rick) Immel, Lisa (Gordon) Wells and Kathleen (Michael) Janik; nephews James (Bonnie) Tackes and Kristopher Tackes; and cousins Karen Krier Rabun, Gene (Judy) Krier, David Krier, Rob (Steva) Krier and Mike (Pam) Krier.

She is also survived by her close and cherished friend Pearl Schroeter and special friends Jack (Lori) Ploof and family and Dale (Diane) Goschey and family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her son Joseph Peter Schneider, parents Peter and Clara Wetor and special friend Glen Laubenstein.  

Margaret was a devout member of Our Lady of the Lakes, Christian Mothers, friends of the library and a highly active member of Historical Society. Anything you wanted to know about Random Lake and its history, Margaret was the go-to person.

Margaret loved to travel. Of all her adventures in the U.S. and abroad, her most favorite trip was to Alaska.

Margaret brought a smile to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kindness and sense of humor was contagious. Margaret loved writing poems and little ditties.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium, WI 53004, at 1 p.m. Father Guy Gurath will officiate.  

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.

Margaret will be laid to rest next to her son Joseph at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Random Lake.

Margaret’s loved ones wish to thank the staff at Gables on the Pond, especially Theresa, and Heartland Hospice, especially registered nurse Summer.  

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Margaret’s name.
