Margaret Armstrong

Margaret E. Armstrong, 86, of Grafton, died of complications of a stroke at Cedarburg Health Services on Friday, Dec. 7.  

Mrs. Armstrong was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 3, 1932, to Daniel and Selma Freitag Herlache.

She was a graduate of Riverside High School in Milwaukee.

For 28 years, she worked for WH Brady Co., retiring in 1992.

Her husband Bud Armstrong was an avid car collector who enjoyed restoring vintage Model T automobiles, her son Paul said. Mrs. Armstrong was a member of the Milwaukee Model T Ford Club, the Buick Club of America, Cream City Charter, and The Wisconsin Region Antique Automobile Club of America.

Her family also said she was an avid reader who loved her dogs and knitting.

Mrs. Armstrong is survived by children Bob (Sandy) of Newburg, Dennis (Debbie) of Port Washington, Kathy (Stuart) Ford of Grafton, Cindy (Mark) Kolbach of Port Washington and Dave (Kim) and Paul (Lynn), both of Grafton; grandchildren Ben (Amanda), Ryan (Andie), Eric (Barbie), Jessica, Michael (Nicole), Maggie (Patrick), Michelle (Mimi) and Kayla (Jake); six great-grandchildren; and siblings Dan (Pat) Herlache of Mequon and Geri Honeycutt of Green Valley, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bud and brother-in-law Jack Honeycutt.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton.

Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Grafton.

Memorials to the American Diabetes Association are suggested.
