Maple Sugarin’ Fest to be held March 14
Riveredge Nature Center in the Town of Saukville will host its annual Maple Sugarin’ Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14.
There will be music from 1 to 3 p.m., a tree tapping trading post, the telling of maple legends, stories and songs, try-it-yourself tree tapping, crafting with natural materials and a demonstration of the evaporator.
Those attending will also receive a pancake and pickle in syrup, with additional pancakes available for purchase, as well as hot chocolate, maple sugar coffee, beer, sap tea and popcorn.
The fest is open to people of all ages .
The cost is $5 per person with children 2 and younger admitted free.
Riveredge is also hosting a pancake breakfast on Saturday, March 28, with seatings at 9 and 10:30 a.m. and noon.
The menu includes pancakes along with pure maple syrup and an optional pickle, a serving of ham, coffee and juice. Mimosas and beer will be available for purchase for those 21 and older.
The cost is $15 for Riveredge members, $18 for nonmembers and free for those 3 and younger.
Advance registration is required.
