Man charged after entering residence
A 21-year-old Fredonia man has been charged with three misdemeanors in Ozaukee County Circuit Court after he allegedly entered a Town of Belgium residence without permission.
Dewayne A. McFadden, according to the criminal complaint, entered a home early Saturday morning. At about 3:50 a.m., a child in the residence woke the father to tell him a stranger was in the living room.
The father confronted McFadden, who said he was just leaving. The father began wrestling with him to prevent him from leaving before authorities arrived.
McFadden eventually made it outside, where he said he “wanted to go again” while swinging at the father, who suffered a swollen scratch on his left hand, red marks and scratches on his neck and cuts on his knee, the complaint states.
The father said he did not know McFadden and did not give him permission to enter his residence.
McFadden was charged with misdemeanor battery, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.
He was released on a $5,000 cash bond on Monday. His next court appearance is Jan. 9.
