Los Balsameros to perform Sunday

The band Los Balsameros, comprised of Saukville residents, will perform at the bandshell in Veterans Park at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31.

The band is made up of Oscar Juarez Buendia, his son, 2022 Port High grad Oliver Juarez Wunderlin, and daughter, 2021 Port High grad Allison, along with a friend Joseph D’Acquisto, a 2021 Port High grad.

Oscar plays guitar, Allison plays guitar and sings, Oliver plays accordion and is the lead singer and D’Acquisto plays saxophone.

The band performs norteña music, a type of folk or polka music from northern Mexico, and regularly plays at the Mexican Firehouse Restaurant in Saukville.

Oliver and Oscar also play with the Port City Band, which performs every other Sunday in the bandshell during summer.
