Lorna May Huebner

Lorna May Huebner died at home in Madison from Merkel cell cancer on Aug. 18, 2022.
She was born at home in Grafton on May 16, 1937, her parents’ sixth wedding anniversary. Her parents were Carl A. and Eveline L. (Hovener) Wulff.
Lorna May graduated as salutatorian from Grafton High School in 1955.
She worked at Power Products and Grafton State Bank.
On Oct. 18, 1958, she married Donald “Don” Henry Huebner in Grafton. They made their home in Grafton for 10 years before moving to Madison, Wis.
They enjoyed square dancing with the Westport Squares and made many good friends. She was so very proud of her children and grandchildren and their successes in life.
She is survived by children Peter (Candace) of Mazomanie, Rachel (John) Meek of Madison and Paul (Diane) of Mauston; grandchildren include Quinn (Michael) Christensen, Grace Huebner, Olivia Huebner, Ashley Meek, Brianna (Ethan) Giebel, Brock Huebner and Carissa Huebner.
She is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law William (Lorna), Kurt (Louise), Keith (Judy) and Helen Schmidt; two godsons, Mark Wulff and David Wulff; and many nieces and nephews.
She was so thankful for her loving and caring neighbors and friends from the Arbor Hills neighborhood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don in 2018, her brother Carl and aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Midvale Lutheran Church, 4329 Tokay Blvd. in Madison.
Burial will be at 4 p.m. at Lakefield Cemetery in Grafton, Wis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Midvale Community Lutheran Church, Carbone Cancer Center or Agrace Hospice.
