Lois A. Kinas

Mrs. Lois Kinas of Milwaukee passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, at the home of her son in Manitowoc. She was 86 years old.

Lois was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 3, 1936, the daughter of Lloyd and Lenore (nee Kuenzi) Kenan.

On March 12, 1955, Lois was united in marriage with Daniel Kinas.

The couple moved to Port Washington and raised their family of three children, later moving to Saukville.

After the kids were grown, they moved north to Rib Lake and started a campground.

Dan preceded Lois in death in 1982.

Lois returned to Milwaukee and became a certified nursing assistant at Lutheran Home for the Aging, where she worked for almost 20 years before she retired.

Mrs. Kinas was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles and other puzzles. She was a big fan of the television program “Wheel of Fortune.” Lois also enjoyed socializing with her friends and family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons Daniel Kinas Jr. of Milwaukee and Randy (Cindy) Kinas of Manitowoc, grandchildren Barbara, Randall and Cassandra and great-grandson Jasper.

She is further survived by sister Beth (Don) Schuenke of Milwaukee, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Kinas Sr., their son John Kinas and her sister Shirley (the late Gordon) Tapper.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Eernisse Funeral Home in Belgium, 171 N. Royal Ave. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until services at 1 p.m.

Lois will be laid to rest beside her husband in Oostburg Cemetery immediately following the service.

Eernisse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
