Limited Edition punches its ticket to Varsity Vocals a cappella semifinals

Posing on stage with the certificate they received for placing first in the Varsity Vocals International Championship of High School A Cappella Great Lakes Quarterfinal at Oak Creek High School on Saturday, Feb. 7, were members of Port Washington High School’s Limited Edition, (front row kneeling, from left) Ethan Novotny, Maddy Szolwinski, Teagan Zuraw, Katja Cira, Claudia Ryder, Gillian Kulig, Avery Johnson, (back row) Noah Leinss, Ethen Schaefer, Simon Gillhooly, David Pionek, Natalie Flanagan, Jack Schwengels, Natalie Olson, Owen Canova and Eden Wilson. Zuraw won an individual award for outstanding vocal percussion. Limited Edition advances to the March 21 semifinal competition at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee in the hope of qualifying for the finals in New York City on April 24. Port High’s extracurricular a cappella group Focus will compete in a Varsity Vocals quarterfinal at the Port Washington-Saukville Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Feb. 21.
