LETTER:Johnson rewarded rich donors with $215 million tax loophole

To Ozaukee Press:
I promised myself and my girls my letter writing days were over. Recent events have changed my mind. I am angry and everybody who is middle class or lower should be angry too.
Sen. Ron Johnson was instrumental in giving billions of dollars to 82 of America’s richest families. He was involved in secret, closed-door meetings at which he threatened to withhold his vote on Trump’s massive tax cut (which was marketed as a middle-class tax cut) unless the bill was changed to benefit some of the wealthiest people in America, including two of Wisconsin’s richest families.
Dick and Liz Uihlein and Diane Hendricks gave Johnson $20 million to defeat Russ Feingold. In return, they got $215 million in deductions on their tax bills.
In another travesty, Wisconsin taxpayers are paying a former Supreme Court justice hired by Robin Vos to investigate the last election. His name is Gableman and he is a big stop-the-steal guy. He attended a rally by Michael Lindell, the MyPillow guy, who was adamant that Trump will be reappointed president on Aug. 13. Oops, it didn’t happen.
Taxpayers you should demand better from our state politicians.
