LETTER: Who put U.S. on ‘wrong path?’ Johnson should look in mirror

According to U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, in his recent Milwaukee Journal Sentinel interview, the country is “on a wrong path, a really dangerous path.”

Actually, I agree with him, but what or who is the source of danger? I think an attack on the nation’s capital by American citizens is a matter of concern, not an example of “patriots” airing grievances.

I think that a man with no medical training has no business promoting cures not backed by science. I think a senator should be informed enough that he would not state that there is no FDA-approved vaccine several months after one was in fact approved.

But that aside, here’s the thing: While serving as a senator the last decade, his party controlled the House of Representative for eight years, and the Senate for six. And for four of those years they held the presidency as well.

Sen. Johnson, if the country is heading in the wrong direction, it would appear that you and your party are to blame.
