LETTER: Vote yes three times to rein in authority of executive branch

To Ozaukee Press:

Turn over the ballot on Nov. 3 and vote yes, yes, yes on the three referendum initiatives. Why? Because the first one prohibits future governors from raising taxes with their pen. This is in response to Gov. Evers’ effort to raise property taxes for 400 years with his pen. Taxes and revenue are the responsibility of the legislative branch not the executive branch.

The governor closed all our places of worship with his pen during covid. The second referendum prohibits any state bureaucrat from closing down religious worship. Churches can make their own decision to close during an emergency. This referendum stops the impingement by the government on our religious freedom.

Federal law, but not state law, prohibits discrimination based on age, race and gender. Our legislators want to put anti-discrimination on any basis into the state Constitution so that there is no discrimination for any reason that will be legal in Wisconsin. Currently, state government and cities like Milwaukee disburse numerous minority contracts. They give out public taxpayer funds to people who look a certain way. This referendum will stop the reverse discrimination taking place in our state, city and municipal government.

Vote for liberty and freedom from state government overreach. Vote yes, yes, yes on each referendum on the Nov. 3 ballot.
