LETTER: The truth is out there, why do Trump lovers keep denying it?

To Ozaukee Press:

After reading yet another right-wing letter to the editor full of falsehoods in last week’s Ozaukee Press, the truth must be stated yet again.

Fact: Joe Biden won the presidential election in 2020 by over seven million votes. In the Electoral College, Biden received 306 votes to 232 for Trump.

Fact: No state, county, town, city or municipality reported any major fraud or irregularities that would of have changed the outcome of the election.

Fact: Donald Trump orchestrated a coup in late 2020 and early 2021 in an attempt to stay in power illegally. The coup included lawsuits, pressure on state elections officials, slates of fake electors and culminated in the deadly and destructive insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Fact: Donald Trump stole hundreds of pages of documents from the White House, many marked classified or top secret. None of these documents belonged to him and it is illegal for him to possess them. Check the Presidential Records Act and the National Archives and Records Administration for reference. These documents belong not to Trump but to the American people.

The 2020 and the 2022 midterms were safe, secure and accurate elections. Joe Biden is our president. Tony Evers is our governor.

There are so many credible and respected news sources. It is unfortunate that many on the right seemingly prefer lies and misinformation over the truth.
