LETTER: Trump’s spending spree mocks GOP’s claim to fiscal restraint

To Ozaukee Press:

The news changes so rapidly that it is hard to respond to. But I have to reference the hypocrisy of Republican “fiscal conservatism.”

Where is the outcry against building an arch in Washington that nobody I know wants? How about the estimated $10 million in taxpayer money spent on security so Donald Trump could attend a basketball game where he fell sleep in the first half and left early in the second half?

These costs are dwarfed by the military spending on Trump’s Iran War that has done nothing but drain our military resources, killed untold number of civilians along with American troops, and raised the costs of living for the regular American public.

Do you hear Congressman Glenn Grothman or Sen. Ron Johnson objecting to any of this? Clearly not.
