To Ozaukee Press:

Kudos to Ted Poull, who last week received the Ozaukee County Democratic Party Distinguished Service Award.

Ted grew up in the Town of Port Washington and graduated from Port Washington High School in 1967. He was in the U.S. Army 1969-1971, serving his country in Vietnam. My husband and I have had the opportunity to listen to his lecture on his service at  the Rose Harms Post 355 Grafton American Legion; he is a great story teller.

Ted is an accomplished carpenter, union organizer and educator. Always having a love of learning, he completed his bachelor’s degree at age 58 from UW-Stout. He was on the education committee of the Associated General Contractors of America and helped write the organization’s training programs.

Ted demonstrates things I strongly believe in—education, love of country and family, a dedication to unions and labor and Democratic Party organizing.
