LETTER: She fell in the road, a driver sped past without a glance

To Ozaukee Press:

I was walking my dog along Sandy Beach Road in the Town of Belgium. It’s a private one-lane road. A car came up behind me, and I struggled to pull my large puppy to the side. I tripped and fell into the middle of the road, not 25 feet in front of the car. I was in full view of the driver, a young bearded man.

I am 62 years old. It took a few seconds for me to get up. The driver drove right past without looking at me. No regard whatsoever for another person who might be hurt trying to accommodate him. Parents, are you raising children to behave this way?
