LETTER: Prairie’s Edge resembles city’s ‘Blues Factory boondoggle’

To Ozaukee Press:

 I must admit Black Cap Halcyon has gall.  

Last year they asked for the creation of a TIF district looking for $5.25 million for its Prairie’s Edge project. Thankfully it was denied.  

 Now they want to renegotiate the agreement with the city for a “pay-as-you-go plan,” alleging the city would eventually get the money it is due.   

It is important to point out that construction was expected to begin two years ago but has not yet begin.  

 To elected officials representing residents of the City of Port Washington, just say no!   

 This project has the same ring to it as the Blues Factory boondoggle at the lakefront.
