LETTER: Police, firefighters delighted children at Legion Youth Day

On April 25, the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Family held their Celebrate Children and Youth Day. This is a day of fun activities and free items for the young people of our community. We want to thank all who joined us in celebrating the young members of our community—our future.
Special thanks to the Port Washington Fire Department (Dillon Dodson, Peter Neuman, Ayden Wucherer and Makenna Krin), Police Department (Steve Peterson and Evelyn Chenery) and the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office. They not only brought their vehicles, which both the young and old excitedly climbed into, but also their enthusiasm about sharing their jobs and skills with our community.
