LETTER: Notion that Cain is beholden to his endorsers is ridiculous

To Ozaukee Press:

After reading the letters to the editor in last week’s Ozaukee Press, I was struck by the positivity expressed by supporters of Steve Cain and the negativity expressed by a supporter of Angela Foy.  

I took particular exception to a letter that suggested Steve would be “beholden” to those elected officials who have endorsed him. The implication was that voters should question his integrity and professionalism as a respected lawyer and a judge. That is as ridiculous as it is disingenuous, and likely only serves as a distraction from the dozens of non-political endorsements Steve has earned, thanks in part to his years as a municipal court judge, lawyer and community leader.

I first met Steve years ago when he led our son’s Cub Scout pack and have gotten to know him even better since. He is a good, honest man, and I can think of no one more suitable to be an Ozaukee
