LETTER: More public transit would lead  to less frustrating road repair

To Ozaukee Press:

     Fixing roads in the summer now seems to be an endless fixture. I can’t help but wonder if we had made better attempts at mass transit for Milwaukee and surrounding areas, we wouldn’t be dealing with road repair in perpetuity, which, what it is now.

     Around me here in Ozaukee County, the dump trucks and equipment are everywhere you go. All this traffic, I guess, means job security for the Department of Transportation, but with high gas prices, congestion and construction, wouldn’t it be nice to have an alternative?

     Nope. Instead, we get traffic jams, road rage, construction zones and never-ending repairs.
