LETTER: Make County Board members account for anti-rights votes

To Ozaukee Press:

Some Democrats displayed bias against the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights by voting against reaffirming their own oath of public office. Last week’s article about the Ozaukee County Board meeting about the “Protecting the rights of Ozaukee County residents” resolution quoted speakers mentioning the word “Republican” six times in a negative context. The word “Democrat” was not mentioned once. I see bias here, do you also?

I attended that County Board meeting, and I do not recall the word “Democrat” uttered by board members or speakers during the public comments time. But the word “Republican” was used numerous times in a negative way by board members and public speakers.

I along with 85 other people in attendance were appalled to witness the disrespect of these individuals for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights of our country.  I ask the reading public, as informed voters, to review how your County Board representative voted and question them on their stance. It is your duty as an American citizen and Ozaukee County resident.

So I ask, which party’s supporters are the biased, bitter and close-minded part of society?
