LETTER: If Democrats were brave, why did they not convict Clinton?

To Ozaukee Press:

I read with sadness Father Guy Gurath’s letter to the editor in the Jan. 23 issue of Ozaukee Press on how the Republican senators don’t seem to have the same honesty and courage as Senators Kohl and Feingold did during the Clinton impeachment.

Father Gurath went on to give us quotes from Kohl about how “deplorable” President Clinton was. The quote from Feingold was about how “I am ready to serve another president.”

If he knew these quotes, I have to assume he also knew, but failed to tell us, that these same senators voted not guilty on all counts, as did every other Democrat in the Senate.

Now, it isn’t any secret that President Clinton did everything he was accused of. So how did these “brave” men vote not guilty? Not an impeachable offense?
