LETTER: How dare ‘King Evers’ act to protect citizens from Covid!

To Ozaukee Press:

According to Timothy J. Landing of Fredonia in his letter to the editor in last week’s Ozaukee Press, the governor, whom he referred to as “King Evers,” is greatly affecting his freedom to spread diseases among the public population. How dare Gov. Evers tell him that he can’t breathe and cough his bacteria, germs and possibly Covid-19 droplets on whomever he wishes in public spaces. “King” Evers must abdicate his thrown to another bought-and-paid-for Republican like Scott Walker.

Let’s see, the Republicans still control the gerrymandered Assembly and Senate in Wisconsin, as well as having a majority on the state Supreme Court. How dare a legally elected Democrat like Tony Evers actually try to govern for the safety of the people, not cater to the party politics (unlike Scott Walker).

Just ask a public employee or teacher who the last “king” was in this state, and they will loudly yell Scott Walker. He was instrumental in clear-cutting the the most experienced teachers and government workers as many just retired or left their professions. Thus, there now exists a shortage of qualified teachers with record low enrollments in colleges and universities in education as a profession.

So, if there was a “king” it was probably Scott Walker, as he had the business community and a full control of state government by the Republicans to hide behind his decisions. How dare Gov. Evers govern to protect the safety of all Wisconsin residents!

Special note: the current Covid-19 states map as of this writing shows a decline in cases in Wisconsin.
