LETTER: Grothman pushes nonsensical claim, threatens aid to state

To Ozaukee Press:

Rep. Glenn Grothman continues to blame the loss of 11,000 jobs on President Biden because of his decision to stop the Keystone pipeline. That is nonsense.

The primary company behind that project employs 11,000 workers worldwide. Somehow, that number got confused with potential jobs for the construction and operation of the pipeline.

Now Grothman is pushing a referendum that would withhold approval of the $350 billion Biden has proposed to provide stimulus funding unless the president reverses his pipeline decision. Passage of the amendment would deprive the district and the state Grothman represents of desperately needed aid for pandemic recovery.
