LETTER: GOP priority: low taxes even if people hurt by loss of services

To Ozaukee Press:

An April 22 article in the Washington Post reported that “Wisconsin is the GOP model for welfare reform.” The report also found that “as work requirements grow, so does one family’s desperation.”

I attended the Brooks/Stroebel listening session in Saukville. One of the issues I addressed was hunger in Saukville and Wisconsin. The main priority for these politicians is low taxes no matter how much it hurts people. During this same session, these Republicans lamented the lack of candidates for Wisconsin job openings.

Perhaps if they realistically addressed the Wisconsin GOP’s destructive social and economic policies it would provide an answer.
