LETTER: Glasstein will work to revive moribund stewardship fund
To Ozaukee Press:
At a time when our communities face important challenges in environmental protection, health care access and education, we need leaders who understand these issues and are committed to building a better future for everyone. I am proud to support Dana Glasstein, a candidate whose dedication to these priorities, combined with decades of experience as an educator, makes her a strong choice for public service.
Her advocacy for the environment reflects a commitment to protecting our natural resources for future generations. Clean air, safe drinking water and healthy communities are not luxuries; they are essential to our quality of life. We need leaders who will support responsible environmental policies and ensure that economic progress does not come at the expense of our planet. She will reinstate the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Fund, a vital program that keeps Wisconsin’s natural resources preserved.
Perhaps most importantly, Dana brings decades of experience as an educator.
She understands that public education is the foundation of opportunity and a cornerstone of a thriving democracy. Every child, regardless of family income, neighborhood, or personal circumstances, deserves access to a quality public education.
Supporting a leader like Dana Glasstein who champions these causes is an investment in a healthier, fairer and more educated society.
