LETTER: DNR support of golf course that harms wetlands ‘unbelievable’

To Ozaukee Press:

Thank you so much for the well-written editorial in last week’s Ozaukee Press, “Nature wins a round of golf.”

There may be places to build a golf course, but this land is not one of them. It is unbelievable that the DNR allowed a land swap of pristine state park land in order to assist Kohler in the efforts to destroy globally rare ridge and swale interdunal wetlands along with endangered and threatened species.

We all must continue to make our voices
heard to protect our state park, wildlife and this sensitive environment from Kohler’s efforts to destroy them with another golf course.
