LETTER: Covid-19 death numbers are no surprise in nation as big as U.S.

About the editor’s note correcting my recent letter to the editor by pointing out that the U.S. has the most Covid-19 deaths of any nation: Considering the size of the U.S. compared to other countries, that seems about right.

But when President Trump closed the borders between China and the U.S., people that could afford to leave China had to choose another place to go. They went to Italy, Spain and the U.K. But the ones that came through Canada ended up in New York and then went to Florida, and you know what happened in those states.
