LETTER: County should stand firm on park solar energy opportunity

September 09, 2020

To Ozaukee Press:
Can this be? Ozaukee County is turning down a chance to earn $845,540 and help save our planet because someone’s view might be offended? (“Neighbors vow to fight county park solar plan,” Ozaukee Press, August 27, 2020.)
A big thank you to We Energies for taking a leadership role in significantly helping Ozaukee County financially and beginning to break fossil fuel’s hold on our environment. What better place than an unused public wild area (in Mee-Kwon Park) to show citizens that solar energy is a clean, responsible alternative to burning fuels that shorten our lives?
Ozaukee County: Stand up for our financial and wellness future.
