LETTER: Cain would bring honesty and honor back to Branch II court
To Ozaukee Press:
On April 2, Ozaukee County voters will select the next Circuit Court Branch II judge for a six-year term.
I attended a forum at the Mequon City Hall last month where the four candidates spoke to the voters in attendance. Each candidate stated why he or she is best qualified for this judgeship. I now support Steve Cain.
Steve has served as the municipal judge for all cities and villages in Ozaukee and Washington Counties for the past 10 years. The Municipal Court handles traffic and other municipal violations. When Steve became its judge, the court was operating with many problems and was very dysfunctional. Steve brought order and dignity back to this court and it has remained orderly ever since.
I attended two municipal court sessions last month, observing over four hours while Steve presided in court. I found him to be a dignified and honest judge to all who appeared in his court. He treated defendants with respect even though they sometimes were very hostile to the court.
I truly believe that electing Steve Cain to the Circuit Court will bring honor, honesty and respect back to Ozaukee County. I encourage the voters of Ozaukee County to vote for Steve Cain.
