LETTER: Cain proved judicial mettle in years as municipal court judge

To Ozaukee Press:

After spending 44 years in law enforcement, I have been around many judges and judicial candidates. The best of them have been committed to the rule of law and their communities and bring the right balance of firmness and compassion to the bench. Steve Cain is such a candidate and I’m supporting him for Ozaukee Circuit Court on April 2.  

I’ve known Steve since he started practicing law in Ozaukee County in the late 90s. I know him to be of the highest character and a committed member of the Ozaukee County community. I supported him in 2009 when he ran for municipal court, a decision that has been proven to be a very good one.  

As municipal judge, Steve has earned the respect of the legal and law enforcement community throughout the county and is widely viewed as a great judge. He has demonstrated a respect for law enforcement’s role in keeping the community safe and for the constitutional rights of all who appear before him. More now than ever, we need an experienced, respected and tested judge on the Circuit Court bench. Steve Cain is exactly that judge.
