LETTER: Bike trail past data center is in a dangerous state of disrepair

To Ozaukee Press:

Riding my bicycle in Port Washington on the Ozaukee Interurban Trail on the west side of the new data center, I couldn’t help but notice the state of disrepair of much of the trail there and in many areas to the north.

There are numerous cracks and potholes across it, some so large they are an accident in waiting. Weeds are growing in many of them. This is a safety issue.

I also couldn’t help but notice, because you can see through the fence around the construction site, all of the new asphalt for roads and parking for the data center.

Why is there time and money for that, but Interurban Trail can’t be repaired?
