LETTER: Bigger police presence needed late at night in downtown Port

To Ozaukee Press:

As a downtown resident, I commend the Port Washington Police Department for their quick response to the shooting incident on May 20.

However, I have been mentioning to people for years that I wish the city police would have a larger presence downtown during the nighttime hours.

Nearly every night I hear cars drive up Franklin Street at incredibly high speeds and bar patrons creating large amounts of noise during the early morning hours of the weekend.

Hopefully this situation can lead to more patrols in the downtown area to deter some of this behavior.
