LETTER: AWOL in pandemic, they now want to control relief spending

To Ozaukee Press:

The state government of Wisconsin is in line to receive $20 billion from the federal government. Not a small sum, since this money represents almost 6% of our economy and is equal to the size of our dairy industry.

These significant funds are compliments of the Covid relief bill passed through the efforts of Joe Biden and all of the Democrats in Congress, but none of the Republicans.

Guess who wants to help determine how this money will be put into action? The state GOP Legislature under the leadership of Robin Vos.

These Republicans are the same legislators who last year were AWOL during just  about all of the pandemic while at the same time blocking any active measures to combat the disease.

If there is any inkling of inviting their participation in doling out the money, it should depend on one condition: Let’s see a show of hands of who among them agree that Joe Biden is the legitimately elected president.
