LETTER: From air travel to medicine, our standards are crumbling

To Ozaukee Press:

How many news stories have we seen regarding serious problems in our nationwide air travel? Reports of frequent unexplained cancellations, including permanent routes closing, delays and confusion, are causing chaos.

We’re beginning to see things crumble and fall apart. From February on, Trump’s agenda of destabilization has hit the news daily—Elon and Trump slashing through our institutions, taking out the lifeblood foundation of our American infrastructure, the cogs and wheels running this American life.

We are witnessing the crumbling of our standards. Stuff we take for granted, like trusting that our food, medicine, travel, Medicare, freedom of speech, Social Security are all safe and are being upheld by standards of excellence with oversight. American standards are becoming untrustworthy, second and third rate. And our safety is at risk.
