LETER: Election results showed voters like direction Grafton is going
To Ozaukee Press:
I would like to thank all the residents of the Village of Grafton who voted for me in the April 2 election. I would also like to congratulate Trustees Tom Krueger and John Gassert, who campaigned hard to retain their positions on the Grafton Village Board. It will be an honor to work with them for another two years.
It was amazing to see over 44% of eligible Village of Grafton voters turn out for this election. Candidates John Meinecke and Anne Marie Wenten claimed the current Village Board members care only about tax dollars, housing developments and economic growth, and don’t care about the safety of residents. Based on our vote totals, the three incumbents handily proved that the public believes the village is going in the right direction.
I would like to thank my wife Nan for all her support during our campaign, as well as the many friends and supporters who went door to door for us or wished us well over the past two months.
The people of the Village of Grafton are our greatest asset, and I am honored to represent them for another two years on the Village Board.
