A lesson in giving

Food was piled everywhere recently at Dunwiddie Elementary School, where students collected more than 1,000 items that were donated to the Port Washington Food Pantry. Members of the Port school’s student council, who led the effort, displayed a sampling of the donated food last week. They were (sitting in front, from left) Isaac Pionek, Cole Ribbens, Grayson Suppiger, (middle row, sitting) Adyline Monahan, Estelle Behm, Harper Jackson, Food Pantry President Phil Groothousen, Grace Riley, Lily Windsor, Kiley Cline, Addie Eynon, (back row) William Merow, Henry Johnson, Anthony Monahan, co-adviser Heather Jackson, Sabrina Eixenberger, co-adviser Bonnie Brunner and Archilleos Manutes.                                                                Photo by Bill Schanen IV
