Leo and Lions clubs making a difference in Fredonia

A Fredonia Leo Club emblem was recently added to the Welcome to Fredonia sign to signify the contributions the Northern Ozaukee School District group is making to the community in conjunction with the Fredonia Lions Club. There for the mounting of the Leo Club sign were (from left) school district art teacher Ryan Hornickel, teacher and club adviser John Kirmse, Lions Club member John Vavra and Leo Club members Linkyn Dussault, Layla Wisniewski, Frankie Marini, Nora Schueller, Jossalyn Morano, Ava Fahney, Brynn Gehrke, Ashlyn Lawonn and Maddie Howard. Leo Club members will assist the Fredonia Lions Club with its annual Fall Chicken Roast from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Ozaukee High School. Dinner tickets can be purchased from Lions Club members or at Port Washington State Bank’s Fredonia branch and Parkside Auto in Fredonia, as well as at the event.   Photo by Al Krier
