Legion Auxiliary recognizes award-winning artists

The Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post 82 Auxiliary last week presented awards to the winners of its Veterans Art Festival held this spring. The awards, presented in categories for professional artists, veterans and their families and children, were given to (front) Olivia Wallock, (second row, from left) Diane Burkhalter, John Kubawicz, Joseph Peterson, Barb Augustenborg, Emmy Mach, Tina Mach, Cheryl Peterson and Renee Schreiner. The artwork is now on display through August at the Zablocki Veterans Medical Center in Milwaukee and will be entered into a national art competition.         Photo by Sam Arendt
