Learning the joys of fishing

Young angler Scott Gantner held up a pan fish he caught in Puckett’s Pond during the annual Ozaukee County Fishing Clinic held last month at Harrington Beach State Park in the Town of Belgium. Volunteer Jerry Carmody gave Eason Greelee (top right) some fishing tips while Evelyn (left in bottom right photo) and Rose Kirchen came prepared with rods, a tackle box and sunglasses. About 100 people participated in the clinic, which is organized by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources with support from several area organizations and includes free fishing rods and reels.    Photos by Sam Arendt
