Learning about Grafton’s emergency services the fun way

Area families took advantage of a festive occasion that had an educational component when the Grafton Fire Department held its annual open house Oct. 6. During the event, hundreds of visitors toured the fire station at 1431 13th Avenue, checked out fire and rescue equipment, viewed emergency response and safety demonstrations and had the chance to meet with department members. Activities also included safety and fire-prevention handouts. Top photo, Sarah Grimm and her children Kilee and Easton were happy to pose with a fire truck.
