Kurt Sebek

Kurt Sebek, age 83 years, a resident of Pine Brook Point in Burlington, Wis., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025.

Kurt was born on July 2, 1941, in Vienna, Austria, to Friedrich and Anna (nee Sternad) Sebek.

Kurt was a master pastry chef who immigrated in 1965 to work for Swiss Colony in Monroe, Wis.

He pursued many endeavors in his life —  buying the Glarner Stube in New Glarus and opening his own Vienna Pastry Shop in Monroe, Wis.

He settled in Port Washington, Wis. He loved the community, which reminded him of “back home.” He gardened, bird watched and looked forward to grilling season. His final months were spent in Burlington, Wis., with the caring staff at Pine Brook Point.

Kurt is survived by his children Lisa Ann Sebek and Kathryn Heather and grandchildren Anya Marie, Nadya Love, Aiden Konrad, Kyle, Jarrett, Jacob and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services will be held.
