KUDOS: Book sale saw friends helping Friends for good causes

Thank you, Grafton and surrounding communities, and especially our shoppers, for helping make the Friends of the Grafton Library spring book sale a success.

Again this spring, we partnered with the Ozaukee Food Alliance, and we thank Katie Draeger, the organization’s community outreach director, for helping make this happen. Shoppers who brought donations for the food barrels were able to choose a free book. We are proud of the shoppers at our event who stepped up so generously that we were able to fill two full barrels of food for the Food Alliance.

We also thank Holly Ryan for stopping in to shop for the Jail Literacy Program. The Friends were able to send two boxes of donated books with her for the program.

A special thank you goes out to all the local businesses that helped make it a true community event. We appreciate their  involvement in our sale; we loved having them as our community partners.

And, or course, we thank the Grafton Library staff for being so welcoming to us and our shoppers—and for helping us keep it all together.
