Kiwanis club honors member for working with Boy Scouts

    The Greater Port Washington Kiwanis Club recently honored Eric Hill by presenting him with the International Boy Scouts of America Community Organization Award.
    Hill has been a member of the Port Kiwanis Club since 2017 and its board of directors since 2018. Since joining the club, he has also served as its liaison with Cub Scout Pack 3837, increasing communications between the groups and offerings more joint activities and service hours.
    Hill was a den leader in 2017 and 2018 as well as a Cub master.
    Hill, who is also a volunteer firefighter and scuba diver, recently conducted Aquanet training and a scuba event for the Scouts ran a program to help Scouts earn a first responder pin and at summer camp.
