Kennedy School answers the call to collect toys for Christmas

Students at Kennedy Elementary School in Grafton responded generously when they were recently asked to donate items for the annual Kids 2 Kids To Toys Campaign conducted by Kapco Metal Stampings and WTMJ radio. Hundreds of new toys were collected through a drive organized by the Kennedy Student Council. Council members oversaw collections each morning at the school from Nov. 19 through Dec. 13, with students receiving a special incentive. Students in the homeroom class with the largest number of donated toys earned ice cream sundaes. Above, announcing the outcome of the collection effort were fourth-graders Cali Tagliapietra, council vice president, and Jakob Nestler, council president.
