Kathleen Loretta Thelen

Kathleen Loretta Thelen of Port Washington, formerly of Saukville, passed peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday morning, Jan. 4, 2025.

She was born the beloved daughter of Joseph and Eugenia (Breyer) Schommer on Aug. 25, 1936, in Dacada, Wis.

Kathleen graduated from Random Lake High School in 1954.

She was employed as an inspector for Exacto Spring Corp. in Grafton for almost 20 years.

Kathleen was a dedicated member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed shopping with friends and family and traveling to Florida, and she rarely missed a luncheon with the Exacto retirement group.

Those left to cherish Kathleen’s memory are her devoted daughters Lori (Jeff) Duwell, Holly (Scott) Lauters, Kerry (Ron) Binsfeld and Jackie (Lee) Umnus; cherished grandchildren Shaun (Kim), Ashley (special friend Matt), Alyssa (Peter), Leah (Jesse), Joe (Kala), Laura (Kyle), Carley (Dustin), Clinton (Nicole), Michael (Paige), Mitchel (Lindsay) and Megan (special friend Ben); and 15 adored great-grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother Donald and sister Delores.

Kathleen will be laid to rest at a private ceremony in Dacada.

Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
