Grafton-based Kapco Metal Stamping has selected Hani Malek to become the company’s first chief operating officer.

Malek has been as the company’s vice president for nine years and will continue to serve Kapco with strategic planning, business development and culture building, according to a press release.

Malek, a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee graduate and Cedarburg resident, said continuing to lead growth efforts as COO will be a major point of pride for him.

“Being part of a team that is so committed to stability and growth — in a variety of ways — is one of the most rewarding experiences of my entire career,” Malek said.

“Hani’s work ethic, ability to connect with people and his incredible attention to detail have been a critical component to the growth of Kapco,” said Jim Kacmarcik, Kapco chairman and CEO. “Hani is a living, breathing reflection of our core values and I couldn’t ask for a better person to help drive the innovation and change that we have planned as we continue to grow.”

Kapco is a metal components manufacturer founded in Grafton in 1972.  Between its six facilities in Grafton, Osceola, Port Washington and Germantown the company has more than 600,000 square feet of manufacturing space, making it one of the largest contract manufacturers in the nation.
