Julienne M. Steffen

Julienne M. Steffen passed away on Feb. 26, 2021, at the age of 94.
Julienne was born in Dearborn, Mich., on July 20, 1926, to Frank and Lillian (Daly) Sibben.
She married Richard Steffen on June 14, 1947, at Sacred Heart church in Dearborn, Mich.
She was a devoted wife and mother.
Julienne married the love of her life, Richard Steffen, and together they raised three daughters.
Julienne and Richard first resided in Dearborn, Mich., later moving and retiring in Grayling, Mich., and lastly making Port Washington their home to be closer to family.
Julienne and Richard also enjoyed wintering in Lake Havasu. In more recent years, Julienne could be found playing cards with the ladies at Harbor Club. Above all, family was most important to Julienne and she lived her life caring for those around her.
Julienne is survived by her daughters Carol Dewey of Taylor, Mich., and Barbara (Peter) Wellenstein of Random Lake; son-in-law Nick Currie of Port Washington; grandchildren Julie (Dave) Garlitz, Jennifer (Mark) Nisbet, Richard (Jamie) Currie and Lillian (Nick) Cusick; great-grandchildren Johnathan Fronczak, Nicholas and Joanna Currie and Emily Nisbet; and great-great grandchild Cole Fronczak.
Julienne was preceded in death by her husband Richard, daughter Judith Currie, son-in-law Henry Dewey and granddaughter Lori Dewey.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 6 p.m. at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 451 N. Johnson St., Port Washington, WI 53074. Father Patrick Wendt will officiate.
Julienne and Richard will be inurned at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Port Washington. Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com.
