Joseph Schuessler

Mr. Joseph Schuessler of the Town of Fredonia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at the age of 80.
He was born in Sheboygan on Feb. 7, 1945, the beloved son of Raymond and Dolores (Didier) Schuessler. He grew up in Dacada on his family’s farm.
On Dec. 8, 1973, he was united in marriage with Darlene Burton at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington.
Joe helped run the Schuessler family farm for a few years before the couple settled in the Town of Fredonia to raise three children. He retired from EST Co. after 35 years of dedicated service.
Joe enjoyed collecting model trains and tractors. One of his favorite places was in his backyard on his tractor cutting the grass and stopping by farms in the area to chit-chat with neighbors.
Joseph’s memory will be cherished by his children Randy Schuessler of Racine, Raymond Schuessler of Belgium, Wis., and Holly (Dion) Doege of St. Francis and siblings Paul (Kathy) Schuessler and Mary (Leo) Schneider. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Darlene.
A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074. Pastor Steve Harris will preside. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m.
Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
