Born on Jan. 23, 1934, in Oak Park, Ill., Joseph John “Papa Joe” Tinebra of Grafton, Wis., returned home to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at the age of 86.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred C. Tinebra (nee Maria DeFrancesca) and Peter Tinebra, his brother Peter (Jacquelyn) Tinebra, sister-in-law Irene Tinebra and many dear family and friends.

Joseph’s faith, family and country were the epicenters of his life. Joe served in the U.S. Army as a private second class from 1956 to 1957.
Joseph worked for 40 years at American Can Co. as a shift supervisor and lithography consultant. He also held countless other jobs throughout his life to support his family.
Joseph prided himself on his large family, all of whom still remain very close. Large family gatherings were his favorite just so he could sit and watch his family shower each other with love, support and laughter.
Faith in God was the guiding light during Joseph’s life, especially during his long-time battle with cancer. God blessed Joe with 16 years beyond the doctor’s original prognosis.
After retiring, Joseph enjoyed collecting golf clubs and hitting the links with his brother, sons, sons-in-law, grandchildren and his friends.
Joseph will be dearly missed but never forgotten. His legacy will live on through his family and the lives of all those he has impacted. From Papa Joe and his family to you all, God bless you.
